The nursery is just about finished finally! Only a few things left to hang on the walls and some accessories but all the “major” pieces are in place. Besides the DIY starry ceiling treatment I created in here, I think the biggest thing that transformed this room were the window treatments. I knew I wanted something fairly neutral but with just a little bit of detail.
I’ve always loved Erika Powell of Urban Grace‘s nursery curtains. Neutral with just enough color and fun…and easy to use as a child grows up and outgrows the nursery stage. They were totally my inspiration!
And here are my curtains! I am completely in love with how they turned out. My mom and I worked on them and they were definitely a labor of love but I think it was worth it. Also in my excitement to mount the curtain hardware as high as possible (which made these windows look huge!), I messed up and left far too much space between the bottom of the curtains and the floor. There’s a bit of a high-water pants effect going on but I just keep telling myself it will be easier to vacuum under them!
